今年は暖冬で、今までで一番雨が多かったから植物たちも戸惑ったことじゃろう。
近くの村のスイセンも見事じゃよ。

This winter has been both the warmest and wettest so the plants are quite confused. The daffodils are excellent this year as we can see in this picture from a village near here.

イギリスでは、今やるべき庭仕事について、ガーデニングの雑誌やらカレンダー、オンラインのウェブサイトなどが教えてくれるんじゃ。

3月のわしの庭仕事をざっと挙げてみよう。

１．ナメクジ対策。家の庭はナメクジに新芽をやられるから今のうちにナメクジが近づかないようにする。

２．スイートピーの定植と夏咲き球根の植え付け

３．多年草などの株分け

４．バラの施肥

５．コンテナや鉢の土がえ

６．生えはじめてきた雑草は今のうちに抜く

７．キッチンガーデンにジャガイモ、玉ねぎ、細ねぎを植える予定

In England we have a regular monthly schedule and to help us get things done at the

right time we can find the schedule published in gardening magazines, calenders and of course online. Here are a few of the things I have lined up for March.

1. We have serious problems with slugs in our garden so we must put some slug killer around all the new spring shoots.

2. Plant our sumer bulbs and our young sweet pea plants.

3. Dig up and divide the perrenials.

4. Feed the roses to get them growing nicely.

5. Put fresh compost on all of our containers

6. The weeds will start growing so ealy weeding is essential.

7. In my kitchen garden I will be planting potatoes plus onions and shallots.
