ロブは、元公務員でプロジェクトマネージャーをしていました。　色々なことに興味津々で、音楽鑑賞や演劇鑑賞を楽しんでいます。また、エイボンエリア（西部）でロータス（スポーツカーのロータス）クラブの会長を務めています。ロータスに乗っていることは言うまでもありません。写真撮影にも熱心で英国中のパブリック/プライベートガーデンを訪ねて写真を撮るのを無上の喜びとしています。

Rob is a retired project manager and has many interests including listening to music, going to concerts and going to the theatre.
Rob runs Club Lotus Avon for owners of Lotus sports cars. He is also a keen photographer and this interest includes visiting many gardens in the UK each year.

どんな庭にでも、訪ねてみることは自分自身の庭づくりにインスピレーションを与えてくれます。
英国に住むということは、好きか嫌いかに関わらず「庭」の手入れはしなければいけないという厄介に見えるものの一つではあります。
責任と必要に迫られて始めることではありながら、一方で庭という場所をパラダイスに創り上げてそれを保つことから、限りない喜びを得ることができるのも確かです。

ビギナーズとして庭と関わりつつ、様々な公共の庭やプライベートガーデンを訪ねたりTV番組を診たり、またガーデニングに関する本を読んだり。
はたまた友人同士のおしゃべりの中からさえ、情報や知識は少しずつ積み重なってゆきます。
そして、それは自分の庭を一片のパラダイスにする旅の始まりでもあるのです。

日常で出会ったり訪ねた庭を紹介したり、友人たちのガーデニング作業の様子や、面白い情報などを随時お知らせしてゆきますのでお楽しみに！

一般には公開しないプライベートガーデンはなかなか見る機会がないかもしれませんね。
友人や隣人たちの庭を時々訪ねてお知らせします。
大抵はDIYで、プロジェクトはネバーエンディングです。
一般のお宅の庭を見る良い機会となるでしょう。

ナショナル・ガーデンズ・スキームの庭

NGSは、一定の審査基準をクリアして登録された個人邸のオーナーたちの庭を年に一度か二度公開し、ビジターは入園料を払って庭を見せていただくシステムの組織で、入園料はNGSを通じて社会福祉や貢献のために使われます。

ナショナル・トラストの庭

ナショナル・トラストは英国国内で値のある古い家屋やガーデンを修復し、保持するのを目的とした組織で、比較的近いところにはスタウヘッドがあります。　季節ごとに訪れて写真をお見せしますね。
